You can order a custom painting or drawing of your favorite subject (a pet, wildlife, western scene, military drama or period in history). All subjects are thoroughly researched to ensure accuracy and realism, as was the case with the commissions for the Idaho Air National Guard in 2001. Angie toured the base (compliments of the IANG, her client) and the planes to be depicted (a C130 and an A10 Warthog), and was taken on a flight to photograph those planes in action for the detail and realism. Angie will work with you, the client, to design a work of art for your personal collection and enjoyment.
Works can be rendered in oil on linen canvas or masonite, or with colored pencil & oil pastels on acid-free color paper, suede mat board or other material.
Prices are determined first, by size of the image, and second, by the complexity of the composition. This price does not include framing or shipping. If framing is desired, arrangements can be made for an additional cost based on the desired frame. Base prices for artwork can be figured by determining the square inches of the image desired and multiplying that number by the number below:
Angie & Dad suited up
Angie in C130 pilot seat
Pencil Drawings, multiply square inches by 3 = sq. in. x 3 = price ($)
(example: 16" x 20" = 320 sq. in. - 320 x 3 = $960)
Oil Paintings, multiply square inches by 4 = sq. in. x 4 = price ($)
(example: 16" x 20" = 320 sq. in. - 320 x 4 = $1,280)
(Prices are subject to change or alteration based on simplicity/complexity of the composition of the artwork desired. All details will be finalized before the project is started.)
Deadlines for completion of the artwork can vary a great deal depending on current workload and design of artwork selected and amount of research necessary. After all details are finalized with the client, a 50% deposit is required before the project will begin. Preliminary sketches and interim digital photographs of the artwork, via e-mail, will be supplied for the client's review once the project has begun.
All copyrights to all artwork are retained by the artist unless otherwise negotiated and/or purchased separately. The artist's income depends partially on the ability to sell prints and cards of artwork rendered. All drawings and paintings will be considered for prints or cards, exhibitions and competitions unless negotiated otherwise as stated above. If limited edition prints are made of the artwork, the client will be supplied with a small, limited number of signed prints.
As an example, the commissioned artwork shown here is a pencil and oil pastel drawing of a Native American woman, designed with the client who had a dream in mind. He wanted a drawing that represented this particular woman to appear as he thought she might have been, had she existed - strong, beautiful, self-reliant, and a leader.
It is shown at its ...........
beginning conception,
middle,
and final stages.
After completion and receiving the original, the client stated "I'm always reluctant to 'want' or 'dream' about having something because what you get usually doesn't add up to what you wanted. But you 'saw' my dream! This is the dream I had, here in front of me, exactly how I pictured it would be. Thank you."
